Impotence Defined; Medically Speaking
So, all the wires are buzzing with the countdown to Christmas Eve and the “final” vote in the Senate on moving its version of the HCR legislation to conference.
One little nugget however, caught our eye. This from the Washington Post:
Senate Democrats secured a crucial victory shortly after 1 a.m. Monday on a party-line 60-40 vote to end a Republican filibuster of the bill, embarking on a long — but now apparently obstacle-free — march to a final roll call. As the chamber waited for the clock to wind down to a second vote, scheduled for 7 a.m. Tuesday, the American Medical Association officially endorsed the measure, while Democratic leaders defended the deal-making that has brought the $871 billion legislation to the brink of passage.
The AMA endorsed the measure– boy oh boy. I can rest easy now. We all can rest easy now! What a forward thinking group the AMA is. So prescient, so involved. So, well, impotent. Sad. The American Medical Impotence Association. We have a more accurate diagnosis: Self Important: a.Having or manifesting an exaggerated idea of one’s own importance or merit.
Exaggerated Impotence. Thank the lord for the AMA in times such as these.
